Receipt

A receipt is a written (or digital) acknowledgment that payment has been made for goods or services.

It usually includes:

Seller’s information (name, address, contact)

Buyer’s information (optional for smaller purchases)

List of items/services purchased

Quantity and price

Total amount paid

Payment method (cash, card, bank transfer, etc.)

Date of transaction

Unlike a purchase order (which is a request to buy), a receipt proves that the buyer has already paid.
