Invoices
An invoice is a formal document issued by a seller to a buyer that lists and describes the goods or services provided, along with the amount of money the buyer owes. It serves as a request for payment and also as a legal record of the transaction.
The invoice will list (amongst others):
Heading:
Clearly marked “Tax Invoice”
If it is a Tax-inclusive invoice it will be marked “Invoice”
Invoice number:
A unique identifier for tracking
Date:
When the invoice is issued
Seller’s details:
Name, address, contact info, company regustration number and VAT registered number
Buyer’s details:
Name, address, contact info, company regustration number and VAT registered number
Description of goods/services:
Quantity, unit price, any line discout(if applicable) and total amount
Taxes/discounts:
VAT and/or any applicable charges
Total amount due:
The final amount the buyer must pay
Payment terms:
Due date, accepted payment methods and preferred payment reference
